Situation: Customer surveys and past user research indicated that Walmart app shoppers experienced significant frustration and decision fatigue due to excessive scrolling and disruptive mobile elements, which hindered their ability to find essential product information. This negatively impacted trust and overall shopping experience."

Task: Improve the findability of essential product information and enhance the overall shopping experience for Walmart app users, thereby increasing purchase confidence, conversion rates, and reducing bounce rates.

Action: Implemented a generative AI-powered smart summary that consolidated key product details, reviews, and specifications into a concise, single-screen, user-friendly format. This summary aimed to provide shoppers with all necessary information at a glance, minimizing scrolling and reducing decision fatigue."

Result: This initiative resulted in a measurable improvement in purchase confidence, a 1.1% increase in conversion rates, and a nearly 1% reduction in bounce rates. This demonstrated the effectiveness of AI-driven enhancements in transforming the Walmart e-commerce experience and provided a model for future AI implementations.
